VICE PRESIDENT MARKETING
POSITION BASED IN LOS ANGELES (head office). Seeking a brilliant and extremely intelligent leader. A great mentor to be an effective part of a team of nine directors, working directly with the principles, determined for a worthy transformation of the company into the new era. This professional must have a solid understanding of the retail industry with knowledge of consumer behavior. Must have an innovative and progressive marketing vision, with an appreciation and sense of style, fashion, and a solid understanding of ways to create compelling product packaging. Long term planning and execution for “Gibson Everyday” brand recognition, with an ethnic market focus. Conducting market research, competitive analysis and strong new product introduction programs. Trade advertisements, growing towards consumer promotions, utilizing the internet and other innovative options. Trade show effectiveness. Provide support to the sales team with marketing techniques; elaborate licensing and promotional programs to boost sales in companies diversified domestic and international retail channels. Managing the present marketing dept staff of eleven and work in harmony with sales, product development and creative teams. Stable employment history with min 10 yrs experience, including 7 yrs of retail marketing of consumer packaged goods is required, a houseware and tabletop background is preferred. Marketing education is required. Intelligent, innovative and balanced. Proactive, self motivated and result oriented. A successful candidate must have a passion for consumer goods marketing, strive in high energy family owned environments, and have a multi-functional background. PURCHASING MANAGER
Manage and motivate a team of 10 or more Buyers. Maintains purchasing staff job results by counseling, mentoring, and disciplining employees; monitors and appraises employee job performance. Works with Inventory Planning and ensures procurement of optimal stock quantities by establishing minimum and maximum inventory levels and reorder quantities; reviews supply requisitions for authorization and/or unusual order quantities and reacts accordingly; confers directly with vendors in China and Far East. Evaluates and ensures that suppliers comply with Company directives and policies. Acts as the main point of contact for employees in overseas offices with regards to order follow-up, on-time delivery, and quality control procedures. Ensures buying is done at the most competitive levels through negotiation. Recommend and assist in implementation of new or improved processes where needed to improve product price, quality or on-time delivery. Min 10 yrs exp in a similar capacity with a consumer goods importer or a trading company. Strong organizational and communication skills, team orientated philosophy, and proven problem solving skills. Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite (plus MS Project) and Outlook required. Knowledge of procurements systems such as Oracle or SAP strongly preferred. Ability to read, write and speak English on a professional level. Ability to speak Mandarin fluently. Cantonese is a plus. Bachelors Degree is required. Good salary, bonus, benefits package. EXPORT SALES MANAGER – EUROPE
POSITION BASED IN LOS ANGELES. Seeking a high energy sales professional to roll up sleeves, selling dinnerware, glassware, flatware and cookware products in European and other export retail market. Multilingual fluency is required. Stable employment history with minimum 5 years experience selling consumer products to European retailers. Excellent sales presentation, negotiation and follow up skills required. Strong on building relationships with customers and sales agents. Work in harmony with in-house marketing, creative, product development and logistic teams and agents overseas.
